Fluorescent UV Light

A luminous, mercury vapour, source, which emits UV radiation provoking fluorescence phenomena in visible opacity (wood lamp).

The UV radiation enables discovery of the heterogeneousness of the lighted surface and reveals the different recent work on the surface of a painting.

UV fluorescence is commonly used in the analysis of paintings and also for cabinet-making varnishes and the restoration of surfaces.
