This troika was sculpted by M. A. Pronin in 1932 in the Moscow region, in the village of Bogorodskoe and performed at the 15th anniversary of the October Revolution.

Offered at the beginning of this century, by Lenin then resident in Paris, to the poet Montéus, proves to be a valuable testimony to the folk art of the early twentieth century in Eastern Europe.

Montéus knocked it down and tried to restore itself. It glues together somehow the pieces, up to surround the legs of a bay horse with a cloth embedded in a plaster …

In 1982, the observed degradation are poorly glued together, pieces have disappeared, polychromy is slightly chipped and darkened to the point that no longer distinguish all colors.
The intervention of the restorer therefore involves cleaning the polychrome restoration of volumes by peeling and gluing the old breaks then adding a few missing pieces and makeup gaps.
